20 spots sold out in 5 days on €180 of budget

Fitness & Wellness Local Business

Neighbourhood fitness studio, a new 8-week group program, 20 spots to fill in two weeks and less than €200 to spend. It wasn't a budget problem: local campaigns fail because they generate generic interest, and someone who thinks "I'll think about it" doesn't come back.

We kept everything simple. Real scarcity, updated daily in the ad: "20 spots, 14 already taken." A 4 km radius, ages 28–52, specific fitness interests. A pre-filled Meta form with one extra question. And a WhatsApp message written by hand by the trainer within 30 minutes, with the person's name and the link to confirm their spot.

Twenty spots sold in 5 days, €9 per signup, 78% follow-up response rate. We ran the same program again the following month: sold out in 3 days.

The context

A neighbourhood fitness studio. A new eight-week group program, twenty spots maximum, two weeks to fill it before the start date had to move. Budget available: less than €200.

No ambition to build a complex account. The only question was whether better messaging and a minimal push would fill the group in time.

The problem

It wasn't the budget. Local campaigns fail because they produce generic interest: someone sees the ad, thinks "I'll think about it", and never comes back. What was needed was a reason to decide now.

What we built

The scarcity was real, so we wrote it exactly as it was. "20 spots, 14 already taken", updated by hand every day in the ad. Not a copywriting trick: the actual number of spots left, which is also the only kind of urgency that holds up once the client walks into the studio and can count the people.

Targeting stayed tight. Four kilometres from the studio, ages 28–52, specific fitness interests rather than generic ones. On €180, spreading across a whole city means reaching nobody.

The form was a pre-filled Meta form with one extra question, whether the person had done group programs before. No intermediate landing page, no payment request: under a minute from interest to submission.

Then the part that made the difference. Every contact got a WhatsApp message from the trainer within 30 minutes, written by hand, with their name and the link to confirm their spot. 78% replied.

The result

Twenty spots sold in five days on €180, roughly €9 per signup.

The real proof came the following month. We ran the same program with the same system, and the group sold out in three days instead of five. A result that repeats wasn't luck.
